Hi, I’m Isla!
I am a senior and aspiring feminist at Riverdale Country School in New York City. I love analyzing how media affects our perception of gender and leadership roles.
In the future, I want to pursue my passions and professional goals in the women’s studies field. I plan to pursue a degree in Women and Gender Studies as well as take classes in journalism and entrepreneurship. Professionally, I would also love to pursue more work in the nonprofit and advocacy sectors.
Interests and Accomplishments
Starting my senior year, I have served as Student Faculty Council Upper School Co-President. I lead administrative meetings and collaborate with students and teachers to implement school improvements for current and future Falcons.
In March of 2026, 40 boys got to experience real period pain as part of a school-wide event I hosted through the women’s advocacy group I co-founded: fEmpower Affinity. As a leader, I co-facilitate over 20 students in discussions around gender stereotypes and women’s issues.
