Work Experience
Understanding how a business operates on the inside and out is crucial to professional success. I have hands-on experience working for three companies as a Sales Associate and Studio Coordinator, learning and collaborating with founders and supervisors. Not only did working expose me to real-world business, but it also helped me hone my organizational and time-management skills.
Madhappy Clothing Company
I worked with supervisors and sales associates to assist customers, operate the register, and track sales and inventory. Working for a brand whose mission is to spread mental health awareness showed me how companies use their personal passions to build a thriving business with activism in mind. Additionally, as the youngest employee by over half a decade, I learned to collaborate effectively with colleagues of different ages, backgrounds, and perspectives.
KKSWEAT
This past summer and fall, I have been working for a female-owned workout studio. From greeting customers to opening and closing the studio, I work closely with the founders to continue growing this budding small business. Juggling school and work with a job has shown me that with effective time management, I can continue to pursue my passions inside and outside school.
Le Enovese Designs
I worked closely with the founder of this small jewelry business to assist customers and create social media content for the brand. Collaborating with a small team gave me a close-up look into how busy a business can get. It also showed me how to create the best customer experience possible in order to help bring the founder’s vision to life.
